PIANC USA, in cooperation with the PIANC Recreation Commission (Recreational Navigation Commission – PIANC), is pleased to present the third in the 2026 webinar series. Instructors will cover a broad range of PIANC Working Group 149 Guidelines for Marina Design updates, a few niche topics, and describe the changes in marina management structure.

The report emphasizes adaptive marina infrastructure — that is, marina planning and design approaches that are

– flexible,

– future‑oriented, and

– capable of evolving to meet changing operational, environmental, social, and technological demands over time.

Marina planning and design are complex and interdisciplinary practices. Working Group 149 is generating international guidelines for marina designers based on past PIANC expertise and experience with additional input from other organizations all over the world. The results are practical documents for marina planners, designers, engineers and technicians.
