Mr. Nick Stefani serves as a Coastal and Geotechnical Engineer for Edgewater Resources. He is responsible for design, calculations, modeling and Quality Control of Edgewater’s various waterfront and shoreline projects. The majority of his projects and experiences are based in the Great Lakes and in the inland waters of the United States, particularly Lake Michigan. Mr. Stefani’s expertise is in shoreline protection and stabilization, eroding bluff stability, and marinas. Prior to joining Edgewater, Mr. Stefani worked on variety of geotechnical engineering projects, including field work and design support at the Racine Hydroelectric Dam in Ohio and at the Prairie du Sac Dam in Wisconsin. He also worked on, assisted, and completed various geotechnical surveys and investigations for a variety of geotechnical engineering projects.
Mr. Stefani graduated with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the Geological Engineering Program from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2014 and 2016, respectively. His research project and thesis involved analyzing the measurement size variability of data in clay lined, low-level radioactive waste landfills. He is a Professional Engineer with the States of Wisconsin and Missouri and has a PADI Open Water Diver Certification. He is also researching long term recession rates along Ozaukee County’s Lake Michigan shoreline.
